Regular Maintenance
Regular maintenance enhances the wear resistance and gloss of SPC flooring.
Waxing: Wax your SPC flooring every 3-6 months. Before waxing, thoroughly clean the floor, ensuring the surface is free of dust and stains. Then, apply floor wax evenly to the floor using a waxing machine or a clean mop. After application, wait for the wax to dry, then polish with a clean cloth or polishing machine to make the floor surface shinier.
Using Floor Care Products: In addition to waxing, you can also use floor care products for maintenance. Floor care products form a protective film on the floor surface, preventing wear and stains. To use, spray the care product evenly on the floor, then wipe it evenly with a clean mop.
Precautions
When cleaning and maintaining SPC flooring, please also pay attention to the following
Avoid using sharp objects: Avoid using sharp objects to scratch the floor surface. If you need to move furniture, install rubber pads on the furniture legs or use moving tools to avoid dragging it directly on the floor.
Prevent direct sunlight: Prolonged direct sunlight will cause SPC flooring to fade and warp. Therefore, try to avoid direct sunlight on the floor; use curtains or blinds to block sunlight.
Maintain suitable indoor humidity: SPC flooring has certain requirements for indoor humidity; the humidity should be maintained between 40% and 60%. If the indoor humidity is too high, use a dehumidifier; if the indoor humidity is too low, use a humidifier to increase the humidity.
Clean up standing water promptly: If there is standing water on the floor, clean it up promptly to prevent water from seeping under the floor and causing warping. Pay special attention in areas prone to water accumulation, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
In short, cleaning and maintaining SPC flooring is not complicated. As long as you master the correct methods and follow the requirements, you can keep your SPC flooring clean, tidy, and beautiful, extending its lifespan.
