Nowadays, wooden floors are the preferred flooring material for many homeowners during renovations. This is largely due to the natural textures and colors of wooden floors, which bring a warm and elegant feel. However, if wooden floors are not cleaned and maintained properly, they can discolor, warp, and develop pits and scars within a few years, sometimes beyond repair. Today, we've compiled some tips on the correct cleaning and maintenance of wooden floors to help extend their lifespan by ten years!

Cleaning

Simple Dust – Dry Wiping Without Water, Effortless

Remember! Wooden floors are not very waterproof. Excessive moisture seeping into the gaps can cause warping and mold growth! Therefore, avoid using a wet mop for regular cleaning. For dust, cotton wool, hair, white debris, shredded paper, and crumbs, we recommend using a vacuum cleaner, a dust mop, a microfiber mop, or an electrostatic induction mop. Do not wipe directly with water; use a method that keeps the mop on the ground and prevents it from turning back to remove or absorb dust and hair.

Vacuum Cleaning

Solid wood floors are prone to bacterial growth due to moisture. It is recommended to use a vacuum cleaner with a filter, which can filter out some cracks. To prevent damage to the wood flooring from the vacuum cleaner, a special floor duster can be installed on the vacuum cleaner for better maintenance.

 Maintenance

Composite Flooring - Electroplated Finish

Composite flooring can be divided into composite solid wood flooring and composite high-wear-resistant flooring. Both have a plywood substrate underneath, so single-sided wood oil is not used for moisturizing, but a protective coating is crucial. Cleaning and maintenance are recommended every three months. First, remove dust, dandruff, and other stains, then use a wood floor cleaner. After scrubbing with an electrostatic mop, finally apply a layer of anti-slip protective film to achieve anti-slip, stain-resistant, and scratch-resistant effects.
